Oddly neither!

It's merely coincidence. although I did smirk when typing the #42.

There are other references in here though.

Thanks for reading

1) Does the whale have a cloak? How does the plane above not see him/her below?
2) Is the whale a reference to a Torchwood scene, something slipped thru from the rift?
3) can I presume that's Jack talking?
4) 42 days ago.. is that pre or post the hospital scene?
5) If #3 is true, then is this a hell-bound spirit that escaped?
5a) if #3 is false, then we have a "new" character on the stage speaking, not counting the whale "he is one of us"...
6) If #2 is false, could it be a Star Trek IV reference :D

I love DI, Todd and Dennis. If I have the chance, it is cool to try and figure out the mythological, religious and allegorical references you guys sneek into the story. This week had me stumped for a bit...but I think I finally got it!! Here goes: Jesus and St. Peter, the Buddha, Shiva, and Jack are all sitting under their allegorical fig trees (Bodhi and Banyan = fig), resisting temptations and hoping for a way to get home. Bob Seger happens by and offers his Chevy truck, but before they can decide, a gigantic blue leviathan swoops down and swallows them up. HA! Oh crap.....on second thought this does not sound as brilliant as it did at first. I need more clues!!
